The Writers’ Block
Finalist for Best Literature Blog
Welcome! This blog is an experiment to see if a diverse group of writers--many that have not met in person--coming from different backgrounds, and writing in different genres, can come together to form something worthwhile.

Hi, this is David Schleicher for writerscafe.org. I would definately like to be a part of this! Let me know what info you need.
As for the name…I put my vote in for “Book Ends.” It’s simple and easy to remember.
Thankyou for letting me know about your group. I am looking forward to getting to know you more.

After 15 years of writing for publication, I thought I had pretty much vanquished all the technological issues that might come my way. I’ve adapted to and reveled in the simplicity of the PDF. RTF attachments are my forte. JPG’s have made my life infinately easier. In fact, using the computer to write on rather than that horrendous manual typewriter I used through high school has been a blessing.
Now comes the world of blogs. I’m in catch-up mode here, but I’m making progress. Every day I feel a little less like a chimpanzee attempting to use a Blackberry and a little more like a middle aged writer wrestling a problem to the ground.
Hat’s off the Nancy O. Greene for her inspriration and guidance as well as her willingness to create the template for our experiments in blogging.
This is going to be a great year. I really think it is.
